I’m not competitive by nature. Rather, I am one who believes in work and in constant effort, who rarely feels satisfied and tries to improve every day to earn his spot amongst the best Italian wedding photographers.

Photography contests, whether we like it or not, are an integral part of the wedding photography industry and the standard by which most wedding photography associations and societies present and rate their members. Being part of this world implies taking part in these competitions from time to time. On one hand, having my work judged is beneficial in terms of my personal improvement process. On the other, such competitions bring exposure, which never hurts. Then, having my work acclaimed nationally and internationally is a quality certificate for my customers.

Still, I am eager to say that that the scope of my job is not to take pictures for photography contests, but to make images that are fulfilling, engaging and that my clients will love. If this brings a contest winning photograph every so often, I’m happy. But I will never take energies away from documenting the day of my clients the best I can to look for that one ‘contest winner’ shot: wedding photography is not a about competing, it’s a celebration of reality!
