Engagement in Portofino: Eric + Erica | They say well begun is half done.. Well I guess this lovely couple from California couldn’t hope for anything better that day!
Eric contacted me a few weeks before, as he was secretly planning his proposal to Erica during a brief holiday in Italy. And what better place than a private, intimate cove surrounded by nature, just around the corner from the bay overlooking beautiful Portofino to propose?
Believe it or not, Eric’s plan to keep Erica totally unaware of what was about to happen worked big time! She really had no idea until the moment when Eric pulled the ring out of his pocket. I captured the scene according to the documentary style that identifies my photography: I showed up at the agreed place at the appointed time, then I kept discreetly out of the way so that Erica wouldn’t notice my presence, until Eric proposed to his fiancee with the most romantic and iconic of gestures.
At that moment I softly stepped in the scene and simply captured the real moments of this beautiful couple who just decided to spend the rest of their lives together and to celebrate their love by getting married.
