Italian Countryside Wedding
Annalisa and Jacopo are not an ordinary couple and theirs was not an ordinary wedding for many reasons.
Photographing their day was a great pleasure and professionally gratifying for me, because with them and with their large family of Lovisolo Ricevimenti caterers I have shared countless weddings over the years. Always with the joy and peace of mind of knowing weddings with them are a smooth ride and the food is great. Small things that go a long way when you’re out in the field doing your job.
Riviera Countryside wedding
Should come to no surprise that the chosen venue for the wedding was their “La Ginestra” estate, in the green countryside of the Italian Riviera. An Italian countryside wedding with all that this beautiful venue has to offer was a way to celebrate the couple and all the great people who work in this family business. On my end, I was determined to deliver my best as I really wanted my photos to document the event in the best possible way.
A few drops of rain ain’t no big deal
For sure, It wasn’t for Annalisa and Jacopo, caught by surprise at the exit of the church by a summer storm. Shower type, so to speak. Since the church of San Martino in Verezzi cannot be reached by car, a good wash for the couple could not be avoided. But fortunately weather turned quickly for the better and the episode was soon forgotten, buried under a fantastic wedding reception with aperitif at la Briga, a walk in the woods with dancers and fire eaters, dinner under the stars at la Ginestra (even though caution suggested to set up the reception tables under the marquees) and the proverbial cutting of the cake with champagne sabering!
It was truly a pleasure and a privilege to have been part of the team! Once again, a big good luck to the newlyweds and a huge thanks to the friends of Lovisolo Ricevimenti!
