Portofino Wedding at La Cervara
La Cervara is truly an enchanted and exclusive place. What was once a Benedictine abbey today is a fabulous wedding venue, finely restored, rich in history and with luxurious gardens overlooking the sea. It’s located in a unique position, in that short stretch of Italian Riviera coast that separates Santa Margherita Ligure from Portofino. Truly one of the pearls of a region too often underestimated and unfortunately little appreciated, other than often mismanaged, which is my Liguria!
Clearly, Linda and Maxi like to win easy, having chosen La Cervara for their wedding in Portofino. Not that there are any shabby places in the area, but they clearly picked from the cream of the crop.
The Perfect Portofino Wedding
Among other things, Linda and Maxi were lucky enough to hit a day with fantastic weather with sun and clear skies, but not too hot. In short, a perfect day in a perfect place. The wedding in Portofino that all couples dream about when they plan to get married in Portofino!
As always, my contribution to the day was that of a presence as discreet and unobtrusive as possible during all phases of the wedding, from preparations to the final party in the citrus grove. The result is what I try to summarize below in a few images: a real photographic essay, which speaks of real moments and real emotions, telling the story of the day for what it really was. In one sentence, the wedding of Linda and Maxi at La Cervara di Portofino, the way I’ve seen it through my camera.
