Wedding at Castello di Lajone – Sliding doors. With Alessia and Gianluca we crossed paths almost by chance. It was a winter Sunday with gray, damp weather. Fine rain. You get the idea. Few people at wedding event, they came to accompany a couple of friends of theirs, I see them out of the corner of my eye and stop them. I could be in many other places that Sunday morning, they were all more likely. Instead I was there. And they were there, too.
A few words, we exchange numbers, then an appointment and a few days later I get an SMS from Alessia: you will be our photographer. Sliding Doors.
Who knows what their wedding would have been like, if I or they had used their time differently that morning. Surely today they would have different memories of their marriage, as their photographs are the key to access their personal memories in the years to come.
These are some of my photographs from their day. They will be the memories of Alessia and Gianluca. And they will be the story of that day for those who were not there.
