Francesca and Zoltan’s wedding in Genoa took place on a Sunday afternoon in early September, at Palazzo della Torre in Genova Quarto, just a short distance from the rock where Garibaldi and his Thousand once set sail for Sicily. With a rather unlikely historical parallel, one could say that, just as Garibaldi united Italy, this wedding brought together people and families from different countries and traditions. Because love, unlike borders, knows no boundaries. And with that, I’ll stop here with clichés and forced historical references.
Beyond the words, what truly remains of that day are the images: the bride and groom with their guests, and the small stories interwoven within the larger story – the story of Francesca and Zoltan. Authentic moments captured to preserve living memories for years to come.
The photographs of this wedding in Genoa are part of my archive as a wedding photographer: a testimony to my professional journey and to the value I have always placed on reportage as a human and narrative form of storytelling.
