Wedding Santa Margherita Ligure – Hotel Continental: the day of Mira and Guy was hot, intense and joyful, in order of importance. Given the fact that it was full summer and the sun was sizzling hot, this ranking tells a a lot about their day! Mira, Guy and Costanza are a beautiful family, full of zest for life, happy to be together and it shows.
The celebration was held in the church of St. Francis of Albaro in Genoa, in a pale and lazy afternoon that would have been a perfect fit for a poem by Eugenio Montale. Only a few passing cars, even less passers-by and those few were walking close to walls to stay in the shade. The church was typically dark and baroque, like most of the churches here in Liguria. Nevertheless, the happy couple sprinkled a bit of pepper on the day as they exited the church engaging in a battle with their guests throwing rice, the bride and groom armed with water pistols! They certainly were able to set the mood for the rest of the afternoon.
The reception was held at the Hotel Continental in one of the most picturesque locations of Tigullio, in front of the beautiful town of Santa Margherita. Holding a cocktail and chilling out as the sun is setting behind the hills in such a fantastic place, what in the world can top that? As the DJ started to play the first song all the guests jumped on their seats and began what developed into a marathon of dancing, celebrating and plain having a great time. They hardly gave the caterers time to complete their service… These people sure knew how to party! But better than I could ever describe it in words, the pictures here will likely tell the story as it was 🙂
