Wedding Villa Durazzo: Ilaria and Alessio have celebrated their fantastic summer wedding at Villa Durazzo in Santa Margherita Ligure. I am always happy to return to this wedding venue, which is special for many different reasons. It overlooks the sea of Tigullio, it has historical importance, it exudes elegance and Genovese style and it boasts an inimitable baroque mosaic floor, designed by some wonderful artisans with sea stones.
As it often happens with other clients of mine, Ilaria and Alessio got to know me at the wedding of friends of theirs a few years ago. On that occasion I took a picture of them two that they loved so when it came their turn they emailed and showed up at my studio. Personal recommendation is a wonderful thing as it puts me in touch with customers who already know me, who know what to expect and at the same time it gives me feedback on the perceived quality of my work. Satisfied customers are definitely my best insurance for the future.
I couldn’t be more pleased that Ilaria and Alessio got in touch, because they are a great couple. Close friends, self ironic, with a great taste. Being their wedding photographer was really a pleasure. The day flew by light and pleasant, even in the heat of an August afternoon, just like the balloons flew in the sky after the cutting of the cake. We also found time to mention one of my own photographs of a few years back, with bride and groom lying on this same mosaic floor. The photo of Iaria and Alessio is a bit more intimate, enclosing them in the drawing as if looking into each other’s eyes set them apart from the rest of the world, in a dimension of complicity that only belongs to them.
